PSM 7.2.6 printing a newsletter with 12 pdf pages. When printing I get an "Unspecified Print Error" pop-up after preflighting Page 9. I have tried printing with a very basic PDF and that works, so the PDF is part of the issue. Customer gets the PDF from their design person (same as it has been for the last year) ,but for some reason now they won't print.
Sometimes the same document will cause PSM to crash after preflighting page 1. No UPE pop-up, just "PSM has stopped responding"

It doesn't sound like anything I've seen before. I'd be happy to take a look if you can upload that 12-page PDF somewhere.

If it contains sensitive information I think the best thing to do is to go through the official channels and open a support ticket.

After examining the file, this appears to be caused by some incompatibility with our version of Adobe PDFLibrary. It does not occur in the most recent version. Unfortunately updating the library is not trivial. It is definitely something we want to do, but we are very close to releasing 7.2.7 and this won't make it in there.

Note that the file also cannot be processed properly by older versions of Adobe Acrobat (I tried it with Acrobat 6). As soon as you try to view page 10 you'll get an error about not being able to extract the embedded font 'BlackJackRegular'. So it seems to be font-related, and a possible workaround might be to replace that particular font.

The affected page was only relevant for Labor day. That page will not appear in newsletters going forward, so we may not see the issue again. They will be starting to print the Oct. newsletter soon, so we will find out, but based on what you found, I would expect the new run to go smoothly.
