The problem i am having is with the print settings.

When I start a new job, first thing I do is choose my printer, choose all my settings (page size, paper source, media type, finishing options, etc.) then save the file. Then I set up my layout.

Everything is good up to that point. Once I go to send the job to print, every single setting aside from the printer name has reverted back to the default settings and I have to set them all over again.

Additionally, when I am setting up each job, there is ALWAYS an error message in the 'verification results' telling me that the "Printer XX incompatible; some printer specific settings may be lost. please check before printing."

Not sure what I am missing, but these issues have become quite frustrating, not to mention time consuming.

Is there anything I can do to 'fix' this?
