Hi,

The system is printing using Postscript 3.0 to the HP LaserJet 4350 and the HP 5200 laser printers, but giving an error when printing to the HP m402dn, with same settings, IP and environment.

All above printers are compatible with the Postscript 3.0.

The environment doesn't install any print drivers, they communicate with the printer directly through IP and Postscript.

Can someone direct me to where I should start looking ?

Please note that I'm the HP printer supplier and don't know much about PlanetPress.

Please note that the system is printing a test page just fine when connecting the printer.

But once a job is sent to the printer, I'm getting this error:

I have looked over the internet and the error you are getting is related to an image. Now if we look on the stack, there is a reference to ( Misr-Insurance_L.PDF, 0 )

For what I have found, it has to do with your RIP (of the printer) and the way it decompressed the images.

Troubleshooting this:

Try to remove that PDF from the form and test it again on the problematic HP printer. if the error is gone, try to recreate your PDF with other settings of creation or try another format of images.

If it persist but there is another PDF name on the stack, you might want to look at how all thoses PDF were created in the first place and see if there is anything in them that prevent them from printing properly. Maybe also checking with your contact at HP to see if there is a known issue with the specification of the that/thoses PDFs.
