Hi everyone,

Every day we receive an email from a customer with an attached file. The plugin works correctly except when the file name contains accented characters.
For example, here are some file names that cause problems
'factures 8 décembre 2017.pdf'
'avoirs 5 février 2017.pdf'
'fichier factures août 2017.pdf'

W3001 : Error while executing plugin: W3223 : Copying file C:\ProgramData\Objectif Lune\PlanetPress Workflow 8\PlanetPress Watch\Debug\job00ZYMC7J6BVFK51662DFF4.dat to C:\customerA\input\=?UTF-8?Q?fichier_factures_ao=C3=BBt_201?= =?UTF-8?Q?7=2Epdf?= failed: Error code 123: La syntaxe du nom de fichier, de répertoire ou de volume est incorrecte.
Envoi vers un dossier: W1603 : Plugin failed - 14:48:34 (elapsed time: 00:00:00:002)

How to fix this problem ?
thank You

regards

Lionel

Hi Lionel,

It appears to work fine for me, I can capture email attachments from an email and save it under it's original name without errors. It's strange that it tries replacing the accents by "?" (which is invalid in a Windows file name, and is the reason why you get the error), but I find the whole string "=?UTF-8?Q?fichier_factures_ao=C3=BBt_201?= =?UTF-8?Q?7=2Epdf?=" to be very strange. Are you saving the file with one of the PlanetPress system variables (such as %o), or are you using another method to get a file name? Perhaps the problem is there.

hi Raphaël,

Of course I use system variable %o to pass filename but the error seems to come from the email plugin that changes the character encoding when there is an accent in the file name (or some other character that is not alphanumeric).
The filename is used in the rest of the processing otherwise I would have given a generic name to the attached PDF.

What is the difference in configuration between our two workflows?

best regards

Hi Lionel,

It's very weird... I wonder if it's perhaps due to regional language settings in Windows? I use a French Canadian language settings for non-unicode programs, which natively supports accents, but if you use an english setting, it might not have native support for accented characters. Try going to the Windows control panels, and change the non-unicode language settings to French (Canada) and see if it makes a difference. You may have to reboot your machine.
