Hi Everyone,

Need some help and this may have been asked before but I can't find it.

I have labels that have 2 different designed virtual pages and based on the input it will select one or the other to print. I have one regular page with the N-UP set but don't have a way to print properly the pages.

Not sure how to go about this. I've tried two N-UP's but that doesn't output correctly. Need some guidance. Any help is very much appreciated.

it's not really clear what you're trying to do.
You have 2-up with 2 virtual pages which have conditions for being printed?

I currently have 1 virtual page which prints 12 N-UP. But I would like to have 2 virtual pages with very little design differences, but based on a parameter in the data print one or the other design on 1 regular N-UP page.

So I figured out how to do this. I have 2 virtual pages (Same with some slight modifications) and also two separate 12 N-UP's under the same regular page. One points to the first design and the other points to the second design. Both are controlled by a condition from the data. So that all works now, it will print the first NUP that matches the condition then the second one.

However, I'm noticing if the first NUP finishes with <12 per page, the second NUP will start at the top and print on-top what's been printed already. A simpler way to think of this is if there is 13 data pages and the first 12 match the first design and the 13th matches the second design, then there should be 2 pages, one with 12 and the 13th label on the second page; however, what's happening is the 13th label is printing in slot 1 of the first page.

Is there a way to control this through planet press talk?

I'm sure there is Press Talk code which may help, but I don't have one at hand.
This needs further investigation by providing your template and data as this may become quite tricky. So best you're going to open a ticket with your local OL Support team.

I wonder if anyone can help - I am trying to design a new document in Planet Press 7 which is an A4 page but needs to be double sided. When I send it to Planet Press configuration it prints each page separately - does anyone know how to change this? MIA

So we figured out the best way to do this using Overlays. We changed the 2 designs from virtual pages to overlay pages. Then created the Overlay page and checked off the available designs. From there we changed the N-UP to utilize the overlay page.

The designs are controlled via conditions so they appear on the page based on the changes in the xml datapage. Hopefully this helps others!

Many thanks - I've managed to do it a different but as I need a pdf & a printed copy of the document when I now send it to Configuration the pdf shows both copies of the document - do you know how i can change this so that it only generates the pdf version of the document? I've made the documents virtual ones. Many thanks
