Can the watermark that is printed out of Design be changed to reflect other text? I would like to put my company information there and use it to secure proofs from being put into live jobs.

Thanks

You can print your own "watermark" containing whatever you wish.
To get a similar effect, create a text object. Select a style using the outline attribute, and on the basic tab set an angle.

From the workstations PP Design puts a watermark on the pieces when printing. I can add a watermark through Acrobat and doing the text box, but would like to change the watermark that PP Design puts on. It contains the version number of the software and PlanetPress.

Is that something that we can change so the desktop Design app has a custom watermark?

I don't want to add one since one is already generated.

Mark,

The watermark that our software puts cannot be altered, for it is intended to mark documents that were printed with unlicensed software copies or printers. It is a software protection watermark, and not a feature that is intended to allow peoples to add watermarks to their jobs.

PlanetPress supports the "outline" style in text boxes, so you could create a text box, enlarge the font, apply the "outline" style and then change the "angle" property in the basic attributes if you want it to be rotated. This will give you something similar to the PlanetPress watermark. Then you just have to place it on top of your page.

Regards,
Rapha

Would it be something that could be done for a cost? The version number could be left, but change "Planet Press" to "My Company"

Mark,

Again, the purpose of the watermark is for software protection, and is not something that can be modified through PressTalk or anything else, so this is not something that can be done, even as a paid project.
