I have a customer with a Xerox D136 and Freeflow Print Server (FFPS) rip. They are using PlanetPress Design 7 as part of their workflow. PanetPress Watch is also being utilised to automate the workflow.

Intermittently, when printing from PlanetPress the Xerox FFPS will request the wrong weight and orientation of stock. Looking at the document media list in the job properties on the FFPS, it can be seen everything is correct. E.g one stock pink, 120gsm and the other white and 80gsm (both portrait). When the job is printed, the rip asks for 75gsm landscape. Print Centric is being used and not a windows driver. Document properties in PlanetPress are also set to portrait.

I had a look at the PS file sent to the FFPS and noticed that an old Canon PPD was being used, so changed this to the Xerox D136 FFPS specific PPD.

I have had an update from the customer today to say they are still experiencing the orientation and weight change issue even with the correct PPD.

Has anyone experienced this issue before or have any idea what could be the cause? Any info is much appreciated.
