I'm new to Planet Press having just started with a company that already has it. I need to enhance a routing and stripping mechanism for documents that come in. Currently they have a header at the top of the reports (11 lines) that PP reads and decides how to route the report (like Fax it, Email it, PDF it). What I'm dealing with is the need to route a report to a specific file on the network, the file name being provided in the 11 line header.

How can I read the file name from the header, change the output to that file and save the document with the header stripped? Someone told me I should use VBA but while I know VBA I don't know how that would solve the problem or integrate into PP.

Any help would be appreciated.
