I recently had a job that, when sent to our Kodak, would drop letters within a word contained in a graphic. All colors are built out of 4 color process and the graphic in question was a supplied pdf. I tried converting the graphic to an Illustrator .eps, but that didn't work. I finally got everything to show up by saving the graphic as a Photoshop file. I check to see if anything was on suppress printout, and it wasn't. The workflow is as follows. Prep InDesign file with bad graphic, export to pdf, place in Planet Press with variable and print to printer. Sending optimized postscript.
